Hassocks Infant School is situated in the centre of the village of Hassocks at the foot of the South Downs. Our accommodation includes the original Victorian village school building together with later additions. The school has six classrooms, an assembly hall and servery, library areas, cloakrooms and administrative rooms.
The school benefits from fields and open areas for physical education, play and environmental studies, as well as an enclosed garden and conservation area with a small pond. State nursery provision is not available within the area, but there are four playgroups in the village.
From September 2009 the school has increased its numbers to 195 children. The children are currently organised into seven classes
We aim to provide a stimulating and challenging learning environment for the children where we can build on their interests and strengths.
We hope to develop a strong partnership between home and school to help your child become a confident and happy member of our school community.
We hope your child will be very happy at our school and we look forward to working with you over the next few years.
